The Tourism Administration is divided into 6 divisions and 6 offices; the Planning and Research Division, International Affairs Division, Travel and Training Division, Hotel & Lodging Division, Tourism Site Development Division, Domestic Travel Promotion Division, Personnel Office, Accounting Office, Civil Service Ethics Office, Information Management Office, Secretariat and Public Relations Department . To strengthen services to foreigners visiting Taiwan as well as domestic residents traveling abroad, Tourism Service Centers have been set up at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Tourist Service Center and Kaohsiung International Airport Visitor Information Centers, and a Travel Service Center has been established in Taipei with 3 branches in Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung to provide travel information. National scenic area headquarters have been set up -- the Northeast and Yilan Coast, East Coast, East Longitudinal Valley, Penghu, Matsu, North Coast and Guanyinshan, Tri-Mountain, Sun Moon Lake, Alishan, Southwest Coast, Siraya, Maolin and Dapeng Bay -- to handle the direct development and administration of tourism resources by the Tourism Administration. There are overseas offices to handle international tourism promotion : Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Busan, Ho Chi Minh City, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, London, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai (Fuzhou).

- Comprehensive planning, promotion, management, oversight, support, and funding of tourism industry development.
- Development and preparation of national and regional tourism resources; comprehensive planning, implementation, and oversight of tourism marketing campaigns.
- Designation, development, and management of national scenic areas; support for and oversight of the development and construction of municipal and county (city)-level scenic areas and other tourist attractions.
- Planning and management of the cultivation, development, training, and certification of talent in the tourism industry.
- Planning, implementation, supervision, marketing, and promotion of international and regional tourism branding and brand images.
- Liaison and communication with international tourist organizations and coordination and promotion of international tourism cooperation projects.
- Planning, supervision, and implementation of the smart tourism industry.
- Management of other matters related to tourism.
