Strengthening Service Capacity at Overseas Offices

Taiwan's overseas expansion strategy focused on establishing a broader global presence, including the addition of overseas visitor service locations to enhance the capacity and reach of international visitor attraction efforts and further expand Taiwan's tourism markets. Taiwan accelerated efforts to develop short-haul markets, including Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macao, while also establishing a presence in emerging markets such as India, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand to actively cultivate international visitor sources. For long-haul markets, Taiwan Tourism Information Centers (TTICs) were established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on May 15; Seattle, the United States, on June 13; and Sydney, Australia, on September 25. These new offices further strengthened Taiwan’s presence in key overseas cities and supported the development of potential tourism markets.
