A total of 607,534 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in July, 2026, increase 21,308 or 3.63% from the 586,226 in July of last year. The arrivals included 435,729 foreign visitors and 171,805 Overseas Chinese. Compared with July of last year, the number of foreign visitors increase by 8,789 or 2.06%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increase by 12,519 or 7.86%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Northeast Asian Market(Japan、Korea):
      1. Northeast Asian Market accounted for 126,879 or 20.88% of the total, decline 6.51%, consisting of 126,679 foreign visitors, decline 6.48%, and 200 Overseas Chinese, decline 20.32%.
      2. Japan accounted for 80,557 or 13.26% of the total, decline 6.14%, consisting of 80,489 foreign visitors, decline 6.12%, and 68 Overseas Chinese, decline 27.66%.
      3. Korea accounted for 46,322 or 7.62% of the total, decline 7.14%, consisting of 46,190 foreign visitors, decline 7.11%, and 132 Overseas Chinese, decline 15.92%.
   2. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao Market:
      1. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao Market accounted for 181,062 or 29.8% of the total, up 8.02%, consisting of 11,081 foreign visitors, up 13.93%, and 169,981 Overseas Chinese, up 7.66%.
      2. Mainland China accounted for 58,869 or 9.69% of the total, up 8.33%, consisting of 1,414 foreign visitors, up 16.57%, and 57,455 Overseas Chinese, up 8.14%.
      3. Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 122,193 or 20.11% of the total, up 7.87%, consisting of 9,667 foreign visitors, up 13.56%, and 112,526 Overseas Chinese, up 7.41%.
   3. Western and Oceanian Markets(Europe、U.S.A、Australia and New Zealand):
      1. Western and Oceanian Markets accounted for 96,853 or 15.94% of the total, up 4.75%, consisting of 96,357 foreign visitors, up 4.94%, and 496 Overseas Chinese, decline 21.77%.
      2. Europe accounted for 28,167 or 4.64% of the total, up 2.5%, consisting of 28,102 foreign visitors, up 2.6%, and 65 Overseas Chinese, decline 26.97%.
      3. U.S.A. accounted for 61,099 or 10.06% of the total, up 7.5%, consisting of 60,676 foreign visitors, up 7.76%, and 423 Overseas Chinese, decline 20.34%.
      4. Australia and New Zealand accounted for 7,587 or 1.25% of the total, decline 6.85%, consisting of 7,579 foreign visitors, decline 6.79%, and 8 Overseas Chinese, decline 42.86%.
   4. Key New Southbound Markets(Singapore、Malaysia、Vietnam、Thailand、Philippines、Indonesia、India):
      1. Key New Southbound Markets accounted for 183,733 or 30.24% of the total, up 6.28%, consisting of 183,435 foreign visitors, up 6.31%, and 298 Overseas Chinese, decline 8.59%.
      2. Singapore accounted for 21,173 or 3.49% of the total, up 1.13%, consisting of 21,157 foreign visitors, up 1.14%, and 16 Overseas Chinese, decline 11.11%.
      3. Malaysia accounted for 19,071 or 3.14% of the total, up 0.5%, consisting of 19,020 foreign visitors, up 0.52%, and 51 Overseas Chinese, decline 5.56%.
      4. Vietnam accounted for 41,261 or 6.79% of the total, up 10.03%, consisting of 41,167 foreign visitors, up 10.13%, and 94 Overseas Chinese, decline 22.95%.
      5. Thailand accounted for 29,041 or 4.78% of the total, up 6.48%, consisting of 29,014 foreign visitors, up 6.52%, and 27 Overseas Chinese, decline 25%.
      6. Philippines accounted for 49,189 or 8.1% of the total, up 5.01%, consisting of 49,102 foreign visitors, up 5%, and 87 Overseas Chinese, up 10.13%.
      7. Indonesia accounted for 20,682 or 3.4% of the total, up 13.72%, consisting of 20,659 foreign visitors, up 13.7%, and 23 Overseas Chinese, up 35.29%.
      8. India accounted for 3,316 or 0.55% of the total, up 5.07%, consisting of 3,316 foreign visitors, up 5.07%, and 0 Overseas Chinese, up 0%.
      9. Other countries or regions accounted for 19,007 or 3.13% of the total, up 8.18%, consisting of 18,177 foreign visitors, up 4.57%, and 830 Overseas Chinese, up 346.24%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 80,743 visitors from Japan accounting for 13.29% of the total. This was decline 5,147 or 5.99%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 46,466 visitors from Korea accounting for 7.65% of the total. This was decline 3,782 or 7.53%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 184,990 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 30.45% of the total. This was up 11,958 or 6.91%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 61,756 visitors from U.S.A. accounting for 10.17% of the total. This was up 4,381 or 7.64%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 8,640 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.42% of the total. This was decline 291 or 3.26%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 33,122 visitors from Europe accounting for 5.45% of the total. This was up 1,091 or 3.41%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.2% (7,278 people), 0.72% (4,384 people), and 0.8% (4,837 people) of the total which were up 0.54%, up 9.93%, and decline 2.26% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 20,012 or 3.29% of the total, up 579 or 2.98%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 171,805 or 28.28%, up 12,519 or 7.86%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 112,526 or 65.5%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3. Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 607,534 visitors, 94.82% by air of whom 576,086. 458,019 visitors or 75.39% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 63,947 visitors or 10.53% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 5.18% by sea of whom 31,448. 6,003 visitors or 0.99% through Kaohsiung port, 4,031 visitors or 0.66% through Keelung, 789 visitors or 0.13% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 48.2% (292,803 people) while female were 51.8% (314,731 people).
   3. Age: There were 84,245 (13.87%) visitors under 19-year-old, 273,772 (45.06%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 190,984 (31.44%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 58,533 (9.63%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, Business, and Visit Relatives with 386,978 (63.7%), 44,814 (7.38%), and 32,058 (5.28%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 97,862 people or 16.65%, stayed Over 90 Nights. Visitors staying 3 Nights, 94,709 people or 16.11%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 5-7 Nights, 88,029 people or 14.98%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in July was 8.17 nights.
