A total of 611,148 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in June, 2026, increase 4,802 or 0.79% from the 606,346 in June of last year. The arrivals included 478,701 foreign visitors and 132,447 Overseas Chinese. Compared with June of last year, the number of foreign visitors increase by 11,762 or 2.52%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors decline by 6,960 or 4.99%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Northeast Asian Market(Japan、Korea):
      1. Northeast Asian Market accounted for 140,044 or 22.91% of the total, decline 0.36%, consisting of 139,879 foreign visitors, decline 0.33%, and 165 Overseas Chinese, decline 17.5%.
      2. Japan accounted for 96,607 or 15.81% of the total, up 4.17%, consisting of 96,545 foreign visitors, up 4.18%, and 62 Overseas Chinese, decline 11.43%.
      3. Korea accounted for 43,437 or 7.11% of the total, decline 9.14%, consisting of 43,334 foreign visitors, decline 9.1%, and 103 Overseas Chinese, decline 20.77%.
   2. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao Market:
      1. Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao accounted for 140,845 or 23.05% of the total, decline 4.54%, consisting of 10,211 foreign visitors, up 6.58%, and 130,634 Overseas Chinese, decline 5.31%.
      2. Mainland China accounted for 50,114 or 8.2% of the total, up 8.8%, consisting of 1,484 foreign visitors, up 23.05%, and 48,630 Overseas Chinese, up 8.42%.
      3. Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 90,731 or 14.85% of the total, decline 10.6%, consisting of 8,727 foreign visitors, up 4.2%, and 82,004 Overseas Chinese, decline 11.93%.
   3. Western and Oceanian Markets(Europe、U.S.A、Australia and New Zealand):
      1. Western and Oceanian Markets accounted for 107,393 or 17.57% of the total, up 8.3%, consisting of 106,806 foreign visitors, up 8.58%, and 587 Overseas Chinese, decline 25.7%.
      2. Europe accounted for 23,662 or 3.87% of the total, up 5.14%, consisting of 23,636 foreign visitors, up 5.16%, and 26 Overseas Chinese, decline 10.34%.
      3. U.S.A. accounted for 74,612 or 12.21% of the total, up 9.32%, consisting of 74,063 foreign visitors, up 9.71%, and 549 Overseas Chinese, decline 26.21%.
      4. Australia and New Zealand accounted for 9,119 or 1.49% of the total, up 8.52%, consisting of 9,107 foreign visitors, up 8.6%, and 12 Overseas Chinese, decline 29.41%.
   4. Key New Southbound Markets (Singapore、Malaysia、Vietnam、Thailand、Philippines、Indonesia、India): Key New Southbound Markets accounted for 202,943 or 33.21% of the total, decline 0.89%, consisting of 202,692 foreign visitors, decline 0.87%, and 251 Overseas Chinese, decline 17.16%.
      1. Singapore accounted for 31,240 or 5.11% of the total, decline 14.83%, consisting of 31,233 foreign visitors, decline 14.79%, and 7 Overseas Chinese, decline 69.57%.
      2. Malaysia accounted for 21,925 or 3.59% of the total, decline 18.99%, consisting of 21,885 foreign visitors, decline 19.04%, and 40 Overseas Chinese, up 14.29%.
      3. Vietnam accounted for 39,958 or 6.54% of the total, up 13.77%, consisting of 39,873 foreign visitors, up 13.85%, and 85 Overseas Chinese, decline 14.14%.
      4. Thailand accounted for 26,444 or 4.33% of the total, decline 2%, consisting of 26,422 foreign visitors, decline 1.98%, and 22 Overseas Chinese, decline 21.43%.
      5. Philippines accounted for 55,379 or 9.06% of the total, up 5.27%, consisting of 55,296 foreign visitors, up 5.3%, and 83 Overseas Chinese, decline 12.63%.
      6. Indonesia accounted for 23,335 or 3.82% of the total, up 2.2%, consisting of 23,322 foreign visitors, up 2.24%, and 13 Overseas Chinese, decline 38.1%.
      7. India accounted for 4,662 or 0.76% of the total, up 33.77%, consisting of 4,661 foreign visitors, up 33.82%, and 1 Overseas Chinese, decline 50%.
      8. Other countries or regions accounted for 19,923 or 3.26% of the total, up 39.1%, consisting of 19,113 foreign visitors, up 34.86%, and 810 Overseas Chinese, up 436.42%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 96,668 visitors from Japan accounting for 15.82% of the total. This was up 4,147 or 4.48%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 44,089 visitors from Korea accounting for 7.21% of the total. This was decline 4,141 or 8.59%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 201,685 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 33% of the total. This was decline 1,625 or 0.8%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 75,005 visitors from U.S.A. accounting for 12.27% of the total. This was up 6,531 or 9.54%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 9,904 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.62% of the total. This was up 712 or 7.75%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 29,023 visitors from Europe accounting for 4.75% of the total. This was up 1,690 or 6.18%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.11% (6,777 people), 0.63% (3,879 people), and 0.68% (4,152 people) of the total which were decline 3.49%, up 7.3%, and up 6.54% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 22,327 or 3.65% of the total, up 4,448 or 24.88%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 132,447 or 21.67%, decline 6,960 or -4.99%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 82,004 or 61.91%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3. Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 611,148 visitors, 94.41% by air of whom 576,979. 469,025 visitors or 76.74% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 55,092 visitors or 9.01% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 5.59% by sea of whom 34,169. 4,183 visitors or 0.68% through Kaohsiung port, 8,913 visitors or 1.46% through Keelung, 599 visitors or 0.1% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 50.46% (308,412 people) while female were 49.54% (302,736 people).
   3. Age: There were 60,262 (9.86%) visitors under 19-year-old, 266,860 (43.67%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 200,830 (32.86%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 83,196 (13.61%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, Business, and Visit Relatives with 380,443 (62.25%), 52,788 (8.64%), and 28,154 (4.61%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 109,784 people or 17.31%, stayed 5-7 Nights. Visitors staying 3 Nights, 109,664 people or 17.29%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for Over 90 Nights, 92,644 people or 14.61%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in June was 7.63 nights.
