A total of 883,061 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in March, 2026, increase 104,485 or 13.42% from the 778,576 in March of last year. The arrivals included 746,627 foreign visitors and 136,434 Overseas Chinese. Compared with March of last year, the number of foreign visitors increase by 103,477 or 16.09%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increase by 1,008 or 0.74%.

- Mainland China accounted for 46,864 or 5.31% of the total, decline 3.00%, consisting of 1,525 foreign visitors, up 80.69% and 45,339 Overseas Chinese, decline 4.49%.
- Hong Kong and Macao, 98,865 or 11.20% of the total, up 9.17%, consisting of 9,549 foreign visitors, up 147.64%, and 89,316 Overseas Chinese, up 3.01%.
- Japan accounted for 166,393 or 18.84% of the total, up 7.58%, consisting of 166,311 foreign visitors, up 7.60%, and 82 Overseas Chinese, decline 22.64%.
- Korea, 94,334 or 10.68% of the total, up 5.83%, consisting of 94,188 foreign visitors, up 5.84%, and 146 Overseas Chinese, up 0.69%.
- Southeast Asia, 305,383 or 34.58% of the total, up 28.05%, consisting of 304,986 foreign visitors, up 28.09%, and 397 Overseas Chinese, decline 0.50%.
- U.S.A., 79,914 or 9.05% of the total, up 17.50%, consisting of 79,541 foreign visitors, up 17.61%, and 373 Overseas Chinese, decline 1.32%.
- Australia and New Zealand, 14,017 or 1.59% of the total, up 0.94%, consisting of 13,991 foreign visitors, up 0.90%, and 26 Overseas Chinese, up 30.00%.
- Europe, 47,409 or 5.37% of the total, up 19.16%, consisting of 47,375 foreign visitors, up 19.17%, and 34 Overseas Chinese, up 3.03%.
- Other countries or regions accounted for 29,882 or 3.38% of the total, decline 16.33%, consisting of 29,161 foreign visitors, decline 17.96%, and 721 Overseas Chinese, up 321.64%.

- There were 166,043 visitors from Japan accounting for 18.80% of the total. This was up 11,667 or 7.56%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 95,243 visitors from Korea accounting for 10.79% of the total. This was up 4,863, or 5.38%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 304,315 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 34.46% of the total. This was up 65,595 or 27.48%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 81,063 visitors from U.S.A. accounting for 9.18% of the total. This was up 11,422 or 16.40%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 14,739 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.67% of the total. This was decline 240, or 1.60%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 53,891 visitors from Europe accounting for 6.10% of the total. This was up 7,756, or 16.81%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.28% (11,315 people), 1.46% (12,852 people), and 0.71% (6,284 people) of the total which were decline 6.55%, up 31.10% ,and up 28.51% from the number in the same month last year.
- Other nationals accounted for 31,333 or 3.55%, up 2,414 or 8.35%.
- Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 136,434 or 15.45% up 1,008 or 0.74%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 89,316 or 65.46%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.

- Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 883,061 visitors, 95.37% by air of whom 842,188. 695,702 visitors or 78.78% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 75,770 visitors or 8.58% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 4.63% by sea of whom 40,873. 6,321 visitors or 0.72% through Kaohsiung port, 17,734 visitors or 2.01% through Keelung, 599 visitors or 0.07% through Taichung.
- Gender: Male visitors accounted for 48.32% (426,728 people) while female were 51.68% (456,333 people).
- Age: There were 74,886 (8.48%) visitors under 19-year-old, 388,706 (44.02%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 272,477 (30.86%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 146,992 (16.65%) over 60-year-old.
- Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 607,324 (68.77%), 59,012 (6.68%), and 26,860 (3.04%) visitors.
- Length of stay: Most of visitors, 201,196 people or 23.64%, stayed 3 nights. Visitors staying 5-7 nights, 132,594 people or 15.58%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 2 nights, 119,937 people or 14.09%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in March was 6.27 nights.
