A total of 625,608 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in February, 2026, decline 73,550 or 10.52% from the 699,158 in February of last year. The arrivals included 486,895 foreign visitors and 138,713 Overseas Chinese. Compared with February of last year, the number of foreign visitors decline by 83,790 or 14.68%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increase by 10,240 or 7.97%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 58,062 or 9.28% of the total, up 27.76%, consisting of 1,859 foreign visitors, up 172.98% and 56,203 Overseas Chinese, up 25.55%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 90,056 or 14.39% of the total, up 4.94%, consisting of 9,204 foreign visitors, up 168.26%, and 80,852 Overseas Chinese, decline 1.86%.
   3. Japan accounted for 70,337 or 11.24% of the total, decline 41.61%, consisting of 70,267 foreign visitors, decline 41.63%, and 70 Overseas Chinese, decline 21.35%.
   4. Korea, 96,313 or 15.40% of the total, decline 10.58%, consisting of 96,168 foreign visitors, decline 10.57%, and 145 Overseas Chinese, decline 16.67%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 198,125 or 31.67% of the total, decline 11.17%, consisting of 197,767 foreign visitors, decline 11.14%, and 358 Overseas Chinese, decline 24.15%.
   6. U.S.A., 50,923 or 8.14% of the total, up 3.93%, consisting of 50,585 foreign visitors, up 3.89%, and 338 Overseas Chinese, up 9.74%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 8,950 or 1.43% of the total, up 7.25%, consisting of 8,939 foreign visitors, up 7.52%, and 11 Overseas Chinese, decline 64.52%.
   8. Europe, 30,489 or 4.87% of the total, up 5.33%, consisting of 30,433 foreign visitors, up 5.37%, and 56 Overseas Chinese, decline 9.68%.
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 22,353 or 3.57% of the total, decline 26.48%, consisting of 21,673 foreign visitors, decline 28.27%, and 680 Overseas Chinese, up 257.89%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 70,417 visitors from Japan accounting for 11.26% of the total. This was decline 50,136 or 41.59%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 96,618 visitors from Korea accounting for 15.44% of the total. This was decline 12,197, or 11.21%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 198,219 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 31.68% of the total. This was decline 25,900 or 11.56%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 52,540 visitors from U.S.A. accounting for 8.40% of the total. This was up 2,561 or 5.12%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 9,692 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.55% of the total. This was up 605, or 6.66%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 36,061 visitors from Europe accounting for 5.76% of the total. This was up 2,506, or 7.47%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.35% (8,445 people), 0.93% (5,843 people), and 0.92% (5,777 people) of the total which were decline 0.65%, up 12.41% ,and up 15.77% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 23,348 or 3.73%, decline 1,229 or 5.00%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 138,713 or 22.17% up 10,240 or 7.97%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 80,852 or 58.28%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 625,608 visitors, 94.56% by air of whom 591,577. 485,711 visitors or 77.64% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 56,603 visitors or 9.05% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 5.44% by sea of whom 34,031. 3,535 visitors or 0.57% through Kaohsiung port, 10,171 visitors or 1.63% through Keelung, 462 visitors or 0.07% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 47.33% (296,088 people) while female were 52.67% (329,520 people).
   3. Age: There were 55,520 (8.87%) visitors under 19-year-old, 290,511 (46.44%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 191,903 (30.67%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 87,674 (14.01%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 389,069 (62.19%), 29,888 (4.78%), and 36,566 (5.84%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 127,887 people or 20.57%, stayed over 90 nights. Visitors staying 3 nights, 118,873 people or 19.12%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 5-7 nights, 86,390 people or 13.89%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in February was 8.23 nights.
