A total of 757,860 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in October, 2025, up 96,745 or 14.63% from the 661,115 in October of last year. The arrivals included 606,889 foreign visitors and 150,971 Overseas Chinese. Compared with October of last year, the number of foreign visitors up by 69,837 or 13.00%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors up by 26,908 or 21.69%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 55,683 or 7.35% of the total, up 57.11%, consisting of 2,064 foreign visitors, up 120.75% and 53,619 Overseas Chinese, up 55.39%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 107,084 or 14.13% of the total, up 14.79%, consisting of 10,820 foreign visitors, up 119.70%, and 96,264 Overseas Chinese, up 8.94%.
   3. Japan accounted for 127,785 or 16.86% of the total, up 9.51%, consisting of 127,686 foreign visitors, up 9.52%, and 99 Overseas Chinese, decline 1.00%.
   4. Korea, 107,617 or 14.20% of the total, up 28.62%, consisting of 107,465 foreign visitors, up 28.63%, and 152 Overseas Chinese, up 24.59%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 222,178 or 29.32% of the total, up 9.44%, consisting of 221,859 foreign visitors, up 9.48%, and 319 Overseas Chinese, decline 12.84%.
   6. U.S.A., 60,061 or 7.93% of the total, up 13.70%, consisting of 59,716 foreign visitors, up 13.84%, and 345 Overseas Chinese, decline 5.22%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 13,255 or 1.75% of the total, up 2.46%, consisting of 13,237 foreign visitors, up 2.52%, and 18 Overseas Chinese, decline 28.00%.
   8. Europe, 39,820 or 5.25% of the total, up 17.13%, consisting of 39,780 foreign visitors, up 17.20%, and 40 Overseas Chinese, decline 25.93%.
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 24,377 or 3.22% of the total, decline 16.68%, consisting of 24,262 foreign visitors, decline 16.60%, and 115 Overseas Chinese, decline 30.30%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 127,363 visitors from Japan accounting for 16.81% of the total. This was up 10,510 or 8.99%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 108,265 visitors from Korea accounting for 14.29% of the total. This was up 23,394, or 27.56%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 221,382 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 29.21% of the total. This was up 18,782 or 9.27%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 62,189 visitors from U.S.A. accounting for 8.21% of the total. This was up 7,897 or 14.55%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 14,188 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.87% of the total. This was up 306 or 2.20%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 47,410 visitors from Europe accounting for 6.26% of the total. This was up 6,986, or 17.28%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.35% (10,208 people), 1.16% (8,781 people), and 0.87% (6,562 people) of the total which were up 7.22%, up 19.73% ,and 8.24% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 26,092 or 3.44%, 1,962 or 8.13%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 150,971 or 19.92% up 26,908 or 21.69%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 96,264 or 63.76%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 757,860 visitors, 94.32% by air of whom 714,795. 586,820 visitors or 77.43% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 64,807 visitors or 8.55% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 5.68% by sea of whom 43,065. 5,270 visitors or 0.70% through Kaohsiung port, 12,103 visitors or 1.60% through Keelung, 1,081 visitors or 0.14% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 48.37% (366,611 people) while female were 51.63% (391,249 people).
   3. Age: There were 63,036 (8.32%) visitors under 19-year-old, 335,275 (44.24%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 237,512 (31.34%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 122,037 (16.10%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 542,621 (71.60%), 46,116 (6.09%), and 24,606 (3.25%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 158,800 people or 22.78%, stayed 3 nights. Visitors staying for 5-7 nights, 109,964 people or 15.77%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 4 nights, 102,495 people or 14.70%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in October was 6.78 nights.
