A total of 699,158 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in February, 2025, increasing 50,810 or 7.84% from the 648,348 in February of last year. The arrivals included 570,685 foreign visitors and 128,473 Overseas Chinese. Compared with February of last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 56,200 or 10.92%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors decline by 5,390 or 4.03%.

- Mainland China accounted for 45,445 or 6.50% of the total, up 20.48%, consisting of 681 foreign visitors, decline 37.64% and 44,764 Overseas Chinese, up 22.22%.
- Hong Kong and Macao, 85,814 or 12.27% of the total, decline 15.10%, consisting of 3,431 foreign visitors, decline 36.21%, and 82,383 Overseas Chinese, decline 13.91%.
- Japan accounted for 120,463 or 17.23% of the total, up 18.72%, consisting of 120,374 foreign visitors, up 18.77%, and 89 Overseas Chinese, decline 22.61%.
- Korea, 107,710 or 15.41% of the total, decline 2.27%, consisting of 107,536 foreign visitors, decline 2.24%, and 174 Overseas Chinese, decline 18.69%.
- Southeast Asia, 223,036 or 31.90% of the total, up 11.88%, consisting of 222,564 foreign visitors, up 11.91%, and 472 Overseas Chinese, decline 3.48%.
- U.S.A., 48,997 or 7.01% of the total, up 11.41%, consisting of 48,689 foreign visitors, up 11.75%, and 308 Overseas Chinese, decline 25.06%.
- Australia and New Zealand, 8,345 or 1.19% of the total, up 13.01%, consisting of 8,314 foreign visitors, up 13.19%, and 31 Overseas Chinese, decline 20.51%.
- Europe, 28,945 or 4.14% of the total, up 7.61%, consisting of 28,883 foreign visitors, up 7.70%, and 62 Overseas Chinese, decline 24.39%.
- Other countries or regions accounted for 30,403 or 4.35% of the total, up 50.08%, consisting of 30,213 foreign visitors, up 50.55%, and 190 Overseas Chinese, up 0.53%.
- Main markets by country of nationality
- There were 120,553 visitors from Japan accounting for 17.24% of the total. This was up 19,097 or 18.82%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 108,815 visitors from Korea accounting for 15.56% of the total. This was decline 1,495, or 1.36%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 224,119 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 32.06% of the total. This was up 25,222 or 12.68%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 49,979 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 7.15% of the total. This was up 5,118 or 11.41%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 9,087 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.30% of the total. This was up 922, or 11.29%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 33,555 visitors from Europe accounting for 4.80% of the total. This was up 2,663, or 8.62%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.22% (8,500 people), 0.74% (5,198 people), and 0.71% (4,990 people) of the total which were up 15.27%, up 3.01% ,and up 6.19% from the number in the same month last year.
- Other nationals accounted for 24,577 or 3.52%, up 4,673 or 23.48%.
- Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 128,473 or 18.38% decline 5,390 or 4.03%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 82,383 or 64.12%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.

- Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 699,158 visitors, 96.15% by air of whom 672,236. 551,025 visitors or 78.81% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 57,453 visitors or 8.22% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 3.85% by sea of whom 26,922. 2,890 visitors or 0.41% through Kaohsiung port, 6,263 visitors or 0.90% through Keelung, 416 visitors or 0.06% through Taichung.
- Gender: Male visitors accounted for 48.10% (336,291 people) while female were 51.90% (362,867 people).
- Age: There were 48,627 (6.96%) visitors under 19-year-old, 333,246 (47.66%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 212,651 (30.42%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 104,634 (14.97%) over 60-year-old.
- Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 446,369 (63.84%), 42,649 (6.10%), and 22,756 (3.25%) visitors.
- Length of stay: Most of visitors, 153,828 people or 24.76%, stayed 3 nights. Visitors staying 5-7 nights, 95,248 people or 15.33%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 4 nights, 92,496 people or 14.89%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in February was 6.54 nights.
