A total of 747,800 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in November, 2024, up 58,695 or 8.52% from the 689,105 in November of last year. The arrivals included 602,800 foreign visitors and 145,000 Overseas Chinese. Compared with November of last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 38,214 or 6.77%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors up by 20,481 or 16.45%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 48,823 or 6.53% of the total, up 121.56%, consisting of 750 foreign visitors, up 13.29% and 48,073 Overseas Chinese, up 124.91%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 100,153 or 13.39% of the total, decline 6.39%, consisting of 4,664 foreign visitors, decline 14.87%, and 95,489 Overseas Chinese, decline 5.93%.
   3. Japan accounted for 145,000 or 19.39% of the total, up 20.90%, consisting of 144,905 foreign visitors, up 20.93%, and 95 Overseas Chinese, decline 16.67%.
   4. Korea, 99,489 or 13.30% of the total, up 16.25%, consisting of 99,321 foreign visitors, up 16.33%, and 168 Overseas Chinese, decline 17.24%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 213,981 or 28.61% of the total, decline 7.81%, consisting of 213,633 foreign visitors, decline 7.79%, and 348 Overseas Chinese, decline 19.82%.
   6. U.S.A., 65,821 or 8.80% of the total, up 13.37%, consisting of 65,280 foreign visitors, up 13.54%, and 541 Overseas Chinese, decline 3.39%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 11,213 or 1.50% of the total, up 7.83%, consisting of 11,180 foreign visitors, up 8.25%, and 33 Overseas Chinese, decline 53.52%.
   8. Europe, 33,388 or 4.46% of the total, up 6.06%, consisting of 33,336 foreign visitors, up 6.16%, and 52 Overseas Chinese, decline 32.47%.
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 29,932 or 4.00% of the total, up 32.88%, consisting of 29,731 foreign visitors, up 33.03%, and 201 Overseas Chinese, up 14.20%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 144,766 visitors from Japan accounting for 19.36% of the total. This was up 25,227 or 21.10%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 100,518 visitors from Korea accounting for 13.44% of the total. This was up 14,627, or 17.03%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 215,347 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 28.80% of the total. This was decline 16,001 or 6.92%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 66,535 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 8.90% of the total. This was up 8,316 or 14.28%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 12,099 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.62% of the total. This was up 826 or 7.33%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 39,388 visitors from Europe accounting for 5.27% of the total. This was up 2,924 or 8.02%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.17% (8,738 people), 0.92% (6,896 people), and 0.77% (5,750 people) of the total which were decline 0.79%, up 16.80%, and up 7.00% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 24,147 or 3.23%, up 2,295 or 10.50%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 145,000 or 19.39%, up 20,481 or 16.45%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 95,489 or 65.85%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 747,800 visitors, 95.44% by air of whom 713,731. 589,060 visitors or 78.77% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 58,399 visitors or 7.81% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 4.56% by sea of whom 34,069. 1,904 visitors or 0.25% through Kaohsiung port, 8,226 visitors or 1.10% through Keelung, 525 visitors or 0.07% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 47.49% (355,135 people) while female were 52.51% (392,665 people).
   3. Age: There were 60,977 (8.15%) visitors under 19-year-old, 324,423 (43.38%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 238,844 (31.94%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 123,556 (16.52%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 543,822 (72.72%), 50,571 (6.76%), and 28,603 (3.82%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 174,295 people or 24.38%, stayed 3 nights. Visitors staying 5-7 nights, 121,712 people or 17.03%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 4 nights, 99,925 people or 13.98%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in November was 6.53 nights.
