The arrivals included 284,394 foreign visitors and 17,706 Overseas Chinese. Compared with December of last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 276,929 or 3709.70%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increased by 15,179 or 600.67%.

- Hong Kong and Macao, 12,643 or 4.19% of the total, up 2236.97%, consisting of 3,047 foreign visitors, up 33755.56%, and 9,596 Overseas Chinese, up 1703.76%.
- Japan accounted for 34,194 or 11.32% of the total, up 4558.58%, consisting of 33,983 foreign visitors, up 4747.79%, and 211 Overseas Chinese, up 539.39%.
- Korea, 26,902 or 8.90% of the total, up 9,019.32%, consisting of 26,766 foreign visitors, up 9,776.75%, and 136 Overseas Chinese, up 466.67%.
- Southeast Asia, 155,405 or 51.44% of the total, up 3968.19%, consisting of 154,922 foreign visitors, up 4038.98%, and 483 Overseas Chinese, up 527.27%.
- U.S.A., 35,313 or 11.69% of the total, up 3036.15%, consisting of 34,082 foreign visitors, up 4,026.15%, and 1,231 Overseas Chinese, up 310.33%.
- Australia and New Zealand, 7,116 or 2.36% of the total, up 6,253.57%, consisting of 6,927 foreign visitors, up 9,260.81%, and 189 Overseas Chinese, up 397.37%.
- Europe, 14,734 or 4.88% of the total, up 1237.02%, consisting of 14,566 foreign visitors, up 1296.55%, and 168 Overseas Chinese, up 184.75%.

- There were 33,885 visitors from Japan accounting for 11.22% of the total. This was up 33,155 or 4541.78%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 26,858 visitors from Korea accounting for 8.89% of the total. This was up 26,572, or 9,290.91%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 154,343 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 51.09% of the total. This was up 150,490 or 3905.79%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 34,877 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 11.54% of the total. This was up 34,015 or 3946.06%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 7,401 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 2.45% of the total. This was up 7,321, or 9,151.25%, from the number in the same month last year.
- There were 16,399 visitors from Europe accounting for 5.43% of the total. This was up 15,306, or 1400.37%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.23% (3,718 people), 1.05% (3,180 people), and 0.84% (2,525 people) of the total which were up 1629.30%, up 2221.17%, and up 3137.18% from the number in the same month last year.

- Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 302,100 visitors, 99.34% by air of whom 300,095. 267,188 visitors or 88.44% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 12,219 visitors or 4.04% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 0.66% by sea of whom 2,005. 1,215 visitors or 0.40% through Kaohsiung port, 41 visitors or 0.01% through Keelung, 271 visitors or 0.09% through Taichung.
- Gender: Male visitors accounted for 52.34% (158,125 people) while female were 47.66% (143,975 people).
- Age: There were 40,200 (13.31%) visitors under 19-year-old, 133,589 (44.22%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 96,880 (32.07%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 31,431 (10.40%) over 60-year-old.
- Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 172,985 (57.26%), 23,678 (7.84%), and 37,080 (12.27%) visitors.
- Length of stay: Most of visitors, 53,490 people or 19.95%, stayed 5-7 nights. Visitors staying over 90 nights, 50,177 people or 18.71%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 8-15 nights, 40,907 people or 15.26%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in December was 9.00 nights.
