A total of 38,454 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in June, 2022, increasing 35,675 or 1283.74% from the 2,779 in June of last year. The arrivals included 35,246 foreign visitors and 3,208 Overseas Chinese. Compared with June of last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 33,381 or 1789.87%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increased by 2,294 or 250.98%.
 

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 974 or 2.53% of the total, up 244.17%, consisting of 4 foreign visitors, up 0%, and 970 Overseas Chinese, up 242.76%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 720 or 1.87% of the total, up 120.18%, consisting of 20 foreign visitors, up 0%, and 700 Overseas Chinese, up 114.07%.
   3. Japan accounted for 1,475 or 3.84% of the total, up 660.31%, consisting of 1,447 foreign visitors, up 673.80%, and 28 Overseas Chinese, up 300%.
   4. Korea, 558 or 1.45% of the total, up 580.49%, consisting of 537 foreign visitors, up 588.46%, and 21 Overseas Chinese, up 425%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 25,927 or 67.42% of the total, up 3995.89%, consisting of 25,779 foreign visitors, up 4024.64%, and 148 Overseas Chinese, up 1750%.
   6. U.S.A., 3,729 or 9.70% of the total, up 715.97%, consisting of 2,635 foreign visitors, up 1125.58%, and 1,094 Overseas Chinese, up 352.07%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 205 or 0.53% of the total, up 1476.92%, consisting of 174 foreign visitors, up 1481.82%, and 31 Overseas Chinese, up 1450%.
   8. Europe, 2,952 or 7.68% of the total, up 446.67%, consisting of 2,835 foreign visitors, up 444.15%, and 117 Overseas Chinese, up 515.79%
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 1,914 or 4.98% of the total, up 665.60%, consisting of 1,815 foreign visitors, up 696.05%, and 99 Overseas Chinese, up 350%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 1,469 visitors from Japan accounting for 3.82% of the total. This was up 1,282 or 685.56%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 563 visitors from Korea accounting for 1.46% of the total. This was up 485, or 621.79%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 26,300 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 68.39% of the total. This was up 25,621 or 3773.34%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 2,685 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 6.89% of the total. This was up 2,470 or 1148.84%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 180 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 0.47% of the total. This was up 169, or 1536.36%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 2,918 visitors from Europe accounting for 7.59% of the total. This was up 2,397, or 460.08%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.95% (749 people), 0.64% (245 people), and 0.64% (245 people) of the total which were up 613.33%, up 497.56%, and up 690.32% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 1,131 or 2.94%, up 957 or 550%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 3,208 or 8.34%, up 2,294 or 250.98%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 700 or 21.82%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 38,454 visitors, 92.91% by air of whom 35,729. 34,634 visitors or 90.07% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 239 visitors or 0.62% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 7.09% by sea of whom 2,725. 1,731 visitors or 4.50% through Kaohsiung port, 12 visitors or 0.03% through Keelung, 71 8visitors or 1.87% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 68.38% (26,294 people) while female were 31.62% (12,160 people).
   3. Age: There were 3,785 (9.84%) visitors under 19-year-old, 25,932 (67.44%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 7,623 (19.82%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 1,114 (2.90%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 29 (0.08%), 2,720 (7.07%), and 2,589 (6.73%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 32,322 people or 79.79%, stayed over 90 nights. Visitors staying 31-60 nights, 2,210 people or 5.46%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 16-30 nights, 2,116 people or 5.22%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in June was 29.88 nights.
