A total of 13,461visitors arrived in the Republic of China in November, 2021, decreasing 7,716 or -36.44% from the 21,177 in November of last year. The arrivals included 11,275foreign visitors and 2,186 Overseas Chinese. Compared with November of last year, the number of foreign visitors decreased by 7,232 or -39.08%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increased by 484 or -18.13%.
 

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 1,245 or 9.25% of the total, up 3.66%, consisting of 0 foreign visitors, down 100%.and 1,245 Overseas Chinese, up 3.84%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 556 or 4.13% of the total, down 32.44%, consisting of 3 foreign visitors, down 81.25%, and 553 Overseas Chinese, down 31.47%.
   3. Japan accounted for 847 or 6.29% of the total, down 25.44%, consisting of 836 foreign visitors, down 24.89%, and 11 Overseas Chinese, down 52.17%.
   4. Korea, 284 or 1.84% of the total, down 19.74%, consisting of 227 foreign visitors, down 20.07%, and 21 Overseas Chinese, down 16.00%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 7,085 or 52.63% of the total, down 48.16%, consisting of 7,047 foreign visitors, down 48.23%, and 38 Overseas Chinese, down 32.14%.
   6. U.S.A., 987 or 7.33% of the total, down 39.52%, consisting of 757 foreign visitors, down 35.74%, and 230 Overseas Chinese, down 49.34%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 64 or 0.48% of the total, down 5.88%, consisting of 52 foreign visitors, down 16.13%, and 12 Overseas Chinese, up 100%.
   8. Europe, 1,341 or 9.96% of the total, down 9.27%, consisting of 1,318 foreign visitors, down 9.23%, and 23 Overseas Chinese, down 11.54%.
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 1,088 or 8.08% of the total, up 26.07%, consisting of 1,035 foreign visitors, up 31.18%, and 53 Overseas Chinese, down 28.38%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 836 visitors from Japan accounting for 6.21% of the total. This was down 276 or -24.82%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 227 visitors from Korea accounting for 1.69% of the total. This was down 59, or -20.63%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 7,214visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 53.59% of the total. This was down 6,421 or -47.09%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 756 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 5.62% of the total. This was down 417 or -35.55%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 53 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 0.39% of the total. This was down 11, or -17.19%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 1,319 visitors from Europe accounting for 9.80% of the total. This was down 147, or -10.03%, from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.92% (259 people), 1.01% (136 people), and 0.76% (102 people) of the total which were down 8.48%, down 19.53%, and down 27.14% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 870 or 6.46%, up 99 or 12.84%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 2,186 or 16.24%, down 484 or -18.13%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 553 or -74.70%, of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 13,461 visitors, 90.77% by air of whom 12,219. 11,317 visitors or 84.07% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 368 visitors or 2.73% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 9.23% by sea of whom 1,242. 757 visitors or 5.62% through Kaohsiung port, 47 visitors or 0.35%, through Keelung, 226visitors or 1.68% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 62.22% (8,375 people) while female were 37.78% (5,086people).
   3. Age: There were 2,988(22.20%) visitors under 19-year-old, 6,949(51.62%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 3,074(22.84%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 450(3.34%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are Leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 5(0.04%), 1,098 (8.16%), and 719 (5.34%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 10,128 people or 80.17%, stayed over 90 nights. Visitors staying 31-60 nights, 728 people or 5.76%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 16-30 nights, 473 people or 3.74%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in November was 32.55 nights.
