A total of 689,105 visitors arrived in the Republic of China in November, 2023, increasing 515,968 or 298.01% from the 173,137 in November of last year. The arrivals included 564,586 foreign visitors and 124,519 Overseas Chinese. Compared with November of last year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 401,175 or 245.50%, and the number of Overseas Chinese visitors increased by 114,793 or 1180.27%.

1. Main markets by residence
   1. Mainland China accounted for 22,036 or 3.20% of the total, up 504.55%, consisting of 662 foreign visitors, up 1279.17% and 21,374 Overseas Chinese, up 494.22%.
   2. Hong Kong and Macao, 106,989 or 15.53% of the total, up 1811.88%, consisting of 5,479 foreign visitors, up 426.32%, and 101,510 Overseas Chinese, up 2128.54%.
   3. Japan accounted for 119,935 or 17.40% of the total, up 465.62%, consisting of 119,821 foreign visitors, up 467.28%, and 114 Overseas Chinese, up 39.02%.
   4. Korea, 85,580 or 12.42% of the total, up 546.37%, consisting of 85,377 foreign visitors, up 552.48%, and 203 Overseas Chinese, up 30.97%.
   5. Southeast Asia, 232,104 or 33.68% of the total, up 176.72%, consisting of 231,670 foreign visitors, up 177.20%, and 434 Overseas Chinese, up 43.71%.
   6. U.S.A., 58,057 or 8.42% of the total, up 174.80%, consisting of 57,497 foreign visitors, up 181.09%, and 560 Overseas Chinese, decline 16.67%.
   7. Australia and New Zealand, 10,399 or 1.51% of the total, up 233.73%, consisting of 10,328 foreign visitors, up 242.21%, and 71 Overseas Chinese, decline 27.55%.
   8. Europe, 31,480 or 4.57% of the total, up 138.76%, consisting of 31,403 foreign visitors, up 139.63%, and 77 Overseas Chinese, decline 3.75%.
   9. Other countries or regions accounted for 22,525 or 3.27% of the total, up 176.52%, consisting of 22,349 foreign visitors, up 180.73%, and 176 Overseas Chinese, decline 4.86%.
2. Main markets by country of nationality
   1. There were 119,539 visitors from Japan accounting for 17.35% of the total. This was up 98,433 or 466.37%, from the number in the same month last year.
   2. There were 85,891 visitors from Korea accounting for 12.46% of the total. This was up 72,743 or 553.26%, from the number in the same month last year.
   3. There were 231,348 visitors from Southeast Asia accounting for 33.57% of the total. This was up 147,812 or 176.94%, from the number in the same month last year.
   4. There were 58,219 visitors from U.S.A accounting for 8.45% of the total. This was up 37,666 or 183.26%, from the number in the same month last year.
   5. There were 11,273 visitors from Australia and New Zealand accounting for 1.64% of the total. This was up 8,074 or 252.39%, from the number in the same month last year.
   6. There were 36,464 visitors from Europe accounting for 5.29% of the total. This was up 22,462, or 160.42% from the number in the same month last year. Visitors from U.K., Germany, and France accounted for 1.28% (8,808 people), 0.86% (5,904 people), and 0.78% (5,374 people) of the total which were up 203.51%, up 130.53%, and up 181.80% from the number in the same month last year.
   7. Other nationals accounted for 21,852 or 3.17%, up 13,985 or 177.77%.
   8. Overseas Chinese visitors accounted for 124,519 or 18.07%, up 114,793 or 1180.27%. Overseas Chinese visitors from Hong Kong and Macao accounted for 101,510 or 81.52% of the total Overseas Chinese visitors.
3.  Main markets by type of visitor
   1. Mode of transportation and port of entry: There were 689,105 visitors, 97.96% by air of whom 675,080. 570,239 visitors or 82.75% through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, 46,688 visitors or 6.78% through Kaohsiung Airport. Meanwhile, there were 2.04% by sea of whom 14,025. 4,867 visitors or 0.71% through Kaohsiung port, 5,575 visitors or 0.81% through Keelung, 574 visitors or 0.08% through Taichung.
   2. Gender: Male visitors accounted for 47.86% (329,777 people) while female were 52.14% (359,328 people).
   3. Age: There were 49,954 (7.25%) visitors under 19-year-old, 289,793 (42.05%) between 20 to 39-year-old, 223,281 (32.40%) between 40 to 59-year-old, and 126,077 (18.30%) over 60-year-old.
   4. Purpose of visit: The main purposes are leisure, business, and relatives visiting with 505,246 (73.32%), 45,721 (6.63%), and 28,987 (4.21%) visitors.
   5. Length of stay: Most of visitors, 167,770 people or 25.15%, stayed 3 nights. Visitors stayed 5-7 nights, 125,007 people or 18.74%, ranked second. Visitors stayed for 4 nights, 102,389 people or 15.35%, ranked third. The average length of stay of visitors leaving in November was 6.55 nights.
