The Project for Simplifying Visa Regulations for High-end Group Tourists from Southeast Asian Countries was launched on November 1, 2015, and will remain in effect on a trial basis through December 31, 2027. This is the official English name of the project.
However, effective August 1, 2026, the Project will no longer apply to Cambodian nationals. This change will not apply retroactively. Cambodian nationals who have already been issued visas under the Project may enter Taiwan in accordance with their approved entry dates. Applications from Cambodian nationals will no longer be accepted beginning August 1, 2026.
