The "2025 World Bird Fair" will be from September 20th to 21st and will feature a "Gorgeous Flash Mob" promotional event. The content includes a flash mob dance, a bird costume show, facial painting, etc.
Today, the National Museum of Natural Science hosted a limited-edition bird-face painting event. Tourists could dress up as Taiwan's endemic birds species, and paint their faces to look like the Taiwan rosefinch or the white-eared sibia, join the dance and become ambassadors for the World Bird Fair.
The registration for the "Bird Costume Show Competition" is underway, and this event encourages everyone to use renewable materials to make bird-shaped costumes. From September 20th to 21st, come to the Taichung Civic Square to showcase Taiwan's emphasis on ecological conservation to foreign guests from 30 countries worldwide. On August 25th, the announcement of shortlisted candidates will be posted on the official website of the World Bird Fair and on the Facebook page of the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters, open online voting from August 26th to September 5th, and announce the final results on September 8th.
The event combines ecology, tourism, education, and creativity to introduce participants to the unique bird species from Taiwan and all over the world in a fun way. It’s a meaningful environmental education experience that deepens family understanding of nature and bird conservation—a true celebration of eco-awareness.
