Fenglin Recreation Area welcomes you into the nature of Hualien and Taitung at the easiest distance
Fenglin Recreation Area is located at No. 100, Zhongyi 1st Road, Fenglin Township, Hualien County. It is right off Provincial Highway 9 and about 9 kilometers away and a 15-minute drive from Fenglin Railway Station. Covering an area of 48 hectares, currently only about one-third of the land has been developed while the rest remains in the original forest state. The area is surrounded by undulating mountains and dense forests. When you enter the area, you will first be greeted by the open view of the grassland and hills contrasting with the insignificance of human beings and fully reflecting magnificence of Hualien and Taitung. This should be an impactful and healing experience.
The campground is planned according to the FICC (Federation International de Camping et de Caravanning) 4-star standards. There are more than 60 campsites. Each zone is equipped with cooking pavilions, showers, and toilets. Each individual campsite also has its own sink. In addition to the development on the grassland, hills, and campsites, the water of Mataian River was brought in to create an artificial lake. The lakeside greenery and ecology with local characteristics have been highly commended by camping experts who visited.

Camping has become increasingly popular in recent years with more diversified contents and methods.
