Facilitate the cross-regional integration of tourism sites along the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan coastal areas to create a unique tourism environment within the National Scenic Area. Develop featured walking maps, slow-paced bike tour routes and ecological corridors throughout the southwest coast to provide low-carbon in-depth travel experiences highlighting the area’s wetland ecosystems, salt industry history, religious culture, and natural landforms. In addition, mobilize the resources of representative local industries to stimulate community development and realize the concept of sustainable tourism development.
Cooperate with the organizers of large-scale events to improve surrounding tour routes and settings
Promote the integration of tourism resources through large-scale events and work with private entities and relevant agencies to provide tourists with diversified high-quality recreational activities. In addition, improve the hardware and software of surrounding tourism service systems to provide in-depth travel experiences, thereby creating a sustainable, convenient, comfortable, and safe tourism environment.
Extend Visitors’ Duration of Stay
Improve tourism service quality by developing low-carbon travel itineraries such as bike tours and walking maps. Link up the rich tourism resources of the southwest coastal areas to provide diversified recreational activities and in-depth travel experiences that encourage visitors to extend their stay.
Facilitate Local Tourism Development
The implementation of this project will not only facilitate the development of local tourism but will also link the southwest coast with the tourism zones of Alishan and Siraya and combine local governments’ tourism resources to jointly promote overall tourism development in Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan.
