Link up various recreation systems based on the area’s tourist attractions; integrate tourism throughout the cross-regional Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan coastal area by operating as a unified “Southwest Coast Tourism Zone” to create a unique tourism environment within the National Scenic Area. In addition, develop the southwest coast’s featured walking maps, slow-paced bike tour routes, and ecological corridors to provide low-carbon in-depth travel experiences showcasing the area’s wetland ecosystems, salt industry history, religious culture, and natural landforms. Furthermore, stimulate community development by mobilizing the resources of representative local industries to realize the concept of sustainable tourism development.
