Cheng Dai-Le is a contemporary Chinese calligrapher, painter and seal carver. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Department of Fine Arts of National Taiwan Normal University. He once served as a Review Committee member of different major art exhibitions in Taiwan. His works have been collected by different major museums of art, and received numerous awards. He once served as a part-time Associate Professor of National Kaohsiung Normal University, as well as a full-time Professor and the Dean of Fine Art Education Department of National Taichung Teachers’ College.

Description:
To write about the scenery of Zuozhen, the Chinese calligrapher uses sturdy and vigorous brush strokes to present the echoing between the sunset light and the clouds. The changes in dark-light and dry-wet ink bring a sense of amusement to the work. Striving to start off from the classical style, the work also speaks of the trend of the times, pursuing an aesthetics appreciated by the refined and popular tastes.
Appreciation:
The ink color and brush strokes have brought out an image that the sunset light seems to be penetrating the land. Between modernity and tradition, sparks are agitated. Innovation can be seen from the style and spatial layout of the work. Its distinctive style attracts the attention of everyone
