Description:
In order to pursue the art of writing life, the Chinese calligrapher brings Chinese calligraphy to Meifeng Historical Trail in Nanxi District.  The epoch of the Chinese calligraphic style is extremely vital.  This work uses the concept of the classicism-based modern Chinese calligraphy to transmit this ideal and is added with the lasting charm of the historical trail.
Appreciation:
This work is written in clerical script.  Although the composition of this work is traditional, the style of the characters is in a contemporary sense.  The words have timely brought in the brush strokes seen in Han Dynasty’s bamboo slips, giving more diverse appearance to Chinese calligraphy.  The work is in lovely, ancient and quaint style.  The convergence and scattering of points and lines are appropriately planned, presenting the same aesthetic sense as in a painting.

Translation:  Lush trees swaying in Meiling, the quaintness of historical trail runs deep.
Identification:  Summer of Jihai year (2019).  Written by Lu-Yao, Xiao Shi-Qiong.
Artist’s seal:  Lotus in water.  No fear and worry.  XIAO, SHI-QIONG.  Jiu-An.
