Adviser to Ho Chuang-Shi Chinese Calligraphy Foundation; Professor, Dean and Chair of the Department of Fine Arts as well as the Dean of the College of Fine Arts of Taipei National University of the Arts; Visiting Professor of The National College of Art and Design of Ireland and Dongguk University of Korea; and part-time Professor of National Taiwan Normal University. A Review Committee member of National Art Exhibition, Provincial Art Exhibition, County and City Art Exhibitions, Sun Yat-sen Literature and Art Award, and National Award for Arts.
An Evaluation and Collection Advisory Committee member of Taipei Fine Arts Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, and Dr. National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.

Description:
After watching and appreciating the fun of farming in Guantian, the Chinese calligrapher was inspired, and then lines came to his mind and wrote them down to express his strong feelings towards the piece of beautiful farmland. He projects his emotion onto the objective farmland and external objects, taking the village scene to convey his mood. The added literary and philosophical sense of the text has taken our appreciation to a new level.
Appreciation:
Strong, tall and straight brush strokes are the foundation of the work. The work stresses the continuous breaths of the words and the flying white space between lines. The dryness, wetness, darkness and lightness of ink have composed a visual feast of abstraction. The landscape is sung about, and the poetic inspiration is conveyed. Through different brush strokes, the fun of writing Chinese calligraphy is displayed.
Translation:
People in Southern Taiwan never ask where red water chestnuts are. Its growing pond can be found in many places in Guantian.
Old women in floral clothes are under the bright sunshine in autumn. Because of the great harvest, they think that their sweat is as sweet as syrup.
