The Formosa North Coast Arts Festival 2023 was the Platinum Winner of Conceptual Design - Exhibition & Events Category at the “London Design Awards” for its environmental awareness and combination of art and tourism. The Northguan Scenic Area Headquarters noted that this indicates the continued creativity and influence of the Formosa North Coast Arts Festival 2024. A number of artist workshops and local theaters will be held soon, with the opening ceremony scheduled for September 28, unveiling a wonderful large-scale outdoor installation and various works that are the results of a group co-creation project.

The 2023 Formosa North Coast Arts is inspired by the rich natural ecology and cultural landscape of the north coast. Through on-site creations by seven artists from Taiwan and Japan, their unique cultural perspectives are integrated into the north coast landscape, adding artistic and cultural elements to tourism. This also encourages the public to get in touch with the local area by organizing workshops, walking tours, guided tours and other activities, and enhances public understanding and appreciation of the local environment and life. The “London Design Awards” recognizes that the arts festival not only promotes cultural tourism, but also strives to promote public understanding of art and environmental issues. The Formosa North Coast Arts Festival 2024 will continue to fulfill its social responsibility and promote art tourism development along the north coast.

The arts festival 2024 is themed “Walking the Shoreline.” Six artist workshops will be held in September, with their planned content closely related to the north coast environment and local culture. In addition to the workshops, there will also be exciting performances every Saturday starting on September 7th, including theater interactions and percussion band performances. Explore and cherish the natural and cultural beauty of this land and create rich diverse interactive experiences with visitors. On September 28, the “Qiulantun Concert” will hold its grand finale at Juming Museum, with a wide range of performances. Admission will be free on 28th and 29th, and the museum will open at night in order to support the arts festival and give back to the public by providing a different museum experience.
