North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters

:::

Objectives

1. Creating Diverse Theme-based Scenic Spots and Local Features:

The area has rich natural terrain and landscapes, diverse flora and fauna habitats, and rich art and cultural resources. These range from an eco-tourism experience combining wildlife and green bamboo shoots on Guanyinshan, to the Qianshui Bay Trail and a coffee street created by local shops, to a historical and cultural fusion of ecology and military on Jinshan's Shitou Mountain, and finally Yehliu Geopark and Heping Island Geopark, international-level scenic spots that integrate natural landscapes. Through various themed ecological, cultural, landscape and LOHAS spots in the scenic area, and related marketing activities, experiential tours, tourism product design etc., local businesses have flourished, strengthening the destination image and highlighting local characteristics.

2. Shape Regional Tourism Features and Promote Interdisciplinary Integration:

The "Crown Coast" platform was established to connect businesses from New Taipei City's Wugu, Bali, Tamsui, Sanzhi, Shimen, Jinshan, and Wanli to the Keelung area, including Guanyinshan, Fuguijiao Lighthouse at the northernmost point of Taiwan, Qianshui Bay, Baisha Bay, Zhongjiao Bay and many other related resources, as well as the unique landscape and cultural resources of Yehliu and Heping Island. For example, Jinshan Wanli has many hot springs with premium spring water, and offers leisure sports such as biking, surfing and SUP (stand-up paddling), matching the terrain features. Other offerings include the static space aesthetics of Juming Art Museum, Dharma Drum Mountain World Center and local high-quality shops, showing the diverse characteristics and charm of the Crown Coast.

3. Improve the Quality of Scenic Spot Maintenance and Create a Sustainable Environment:

In order to improve the overall tourism quality of national scenic areas, through "facility reduction," "environmental prioritization," "international standards" and "tourist convenience," the administration organizes beach and mountain cleaning events, revitalizes abandoned spaces, promotes environmental education courses, improves handicapped-accessible trails and bikeways and other measures, and uses smart technology to manage scenic areas. The goal is to elevate these areas to an international standard, thereby creating a low-carbon, sustainable and smart tourism environment and reducing the impact on local society, economy, and the environment.
