The grand opening of the annual “2024 Island Life Festival-Sea My Land” organized by the Northguan Administration on Heping Island Geopark in Keelung City from September 7th to 8th. The event plans a two-day Roaming Market city Slow Life Music Festival inviting multiple groups to meet on the island and welcome the most chill summer time.

Heping Island Geopark is located in the center of the East China Sea Islands in Keelung. It not only allows people to experience fun next to the ocean, but also facilitates the common development of local resources such as Heping Island and surrounding scenic spots like Lover's Lake and Huhai Bay based on the concept of sustainable tourism. The integration of this natural ecology and history and culture triggers the development of local tourism and industry in Keelung, where the concepts of “slow life,” “spaced out” and “easy” life are introduced to provide visitors with a healing and laid back island living experience.

This year's Island Life Festival's “Slow Life Music Festival” and “Roaming Market” utilize the venue advantages of Heping Island Geopark to explore the local elements of the island's ecology, landscape and culture, creating a market music festival specifically designed for urban visitors to relax and live slow. In addition, the event is also combined with the Solar Festival in TAIWAN “Foto Bus” event to interact with the public on site and take exclusive photos, creating wonderful memories of the summer.

While enjoying music at the Slow Life Music Festival, the Island Roaming Market will satisfy people’s desire to enjoy shopping. It is divided into three major themes: “Recycling Island,” “Cultural and Creative Island” and “Island Slow Food” Echoing Heping Island's embrace of sustainable tourism, shops using “environmentally friendly materials” produce cultural and creative products and souvenirs, combined with popular local foods at local shops, carefully selected from the Crown Coast, which allow visitors to contribute to sustainable environmental protection and have fun.
