The annual tourism industry event “2024 Summer Taipei International Travel Fair” made its grand debut at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. A large crown-shaped Crown Coast Map Arch was built by the headquarters, allowing the public to quickly see popular attractions in the National Scenic Area, as it seeks to become a popular location for people to take photos and check in. The theme of the exhibition hall is “Sustainable Tourism,” displaying sustainable awards won by Northguan National Scenic Headquarters. In addition, the headquarters is applying for 2024 Green Destinations Award / Certification. It has currently passed the first Sustainability Check and is scheduled to submit an application for Green Destinations Award / Certification by the end of 2024. In addition, Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Service and Crown Coast operators offer combinations of selected special tours, travel packages and souvenir discounts on-site to encourage the public to visit the headquarters and the Crown Coast.
The headquarters has been deeply involved in sustainable tourism for a long time and supports ecological coexistence, environmental education, in-depth experience and community participation. On this occasion, the theme of “Sustainable Tourism,” highlights the results of long-term efforts by the headquarters to promote sustainable tourism. The Heping Island geological landscape interactive platform “3D EXPLORER” is set up on site. Visitors do not need to touch the machine or wear any devices to explore the world-class landscape of Keelung Heping Island up close and 360°, enjoy the world's most beautiful sunrise at of Alabao Bay and a new and stunning digital technology tourism experience. In addition, a luxurious Crown Coast gourmet feast will be available on site, and in conjunction with the upcoming “Island Life Festival- Sea My Land” event on September 7, ice-cold Shimen Gelidium Jelly will be prepared for visitors to enjoy. Popular summer itineraries in the Northguan National Scenic Area include Baisha Bay the Beach Life Festival, Zhongjiao Bay Surfing, Jinshan Sulfric Fire Fishing, Island Life Festival etc. Heping Island Geopark and Yehliu Geopark are internationally acclaimed for their unique geological landscapes. Other sights include the northernmost point of Taiwan proper Fugui Cape Lighthouse and Shimen Cave. There are also Qianshui Bay, Baisha Bay and Zhongjiao Bay, which are rich in landforms and culture.
