Date:112-10-11 Hits:330
When the air becomes cool and refreshing in autumn, here arrives the  Guantian Water Chestnut Season! What does the delicious water chestnut resemble? It looks like a bat! And here comes a special offer: anyone who takes a ride on the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Lingbo Guantian Route" in October and captures a photo of Batman on the bus will have the opportunity to win a gold ingot by uploading the photo to their Facebook Fanpage. They can also receive the ride-proof voucher of the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Lingbo Guantian Route" on the bus and exchange it for a gift at the shop on the second floor of the Guantian Visitor Center. The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Administration) welcomes your arrival!

Hsu Cheng-neng, the Director of the Administration, said that Tainan’s Guantian District, formerly known as "Guandian", is primarily dedicated to the cultivation of water chestnuts, with the highest production in the country. When the air becomes cool and refreshing in September and October during autumn, it marks the harvest season of water chestnuts, where visitors can see farmers busy harvesting water chestnuts everywhere: the water chestnut farmers row small boats through the green water chestnut fields and carefully gather the water chestnuts one by one, creating a delightful rural scene of bustling farming. The Administration also welcomes visitors to take a ride on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle while the weather is pleasant. Travelers can disembark at Longtian Train Station and explore the nearby Longtian (ChaCha) Culture Heritage Area and Dalongtian Ecological Culture Park to immerse themselves in the beauty of Guantian's culture and nature.

This year, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Lingbo Guantian Route” underwent a route update with expanded service hours, now operating daily except on Wednesdays. At the same time, the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle has introduced a bus themed around children’s play, providing passengers with a completely new sensory experience encompassing sight, sound, and smell. Through the road network of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, passengers can take the “The West Coast Expressway” at Xinying Station, or ride the “Mountain Line and Museum Route” at Shanhua Bus Station and Shanhua Brewery to explore the Greater Tainan freely and conveniently! After arriving at Longtian Train Station, passengers can reach the Longtian (ChaCha) Culture Heritage Area within just two minutes and rent an electric scooter. There is also a special discounted offer of only $199 for 4 hours of experiencing the electric scooter before the end of the year! It's suitable for family outings and trips with children.

To enable the public to experience the charm of water chestnuts and welcome the incoming Halloween on October 31, the Administration has specially organized a flash mob event featuring individuals dressed as Batman. People who capture a photo of someone dressed as Batman on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, upload the photo to their public Facebook Fanpage and set it to "public", and tag "2023 Lingbo Guantian Route Batman" will have the opportunity to join a lucky draw. In addition to the grand prize of "2 taels of gold", our lucky draw offers accommodation vouchers for Liuying Jianshanpi Resort, Guanziling King’s Garden Villa, and Guanziling Reikei Hot Spring Resort, along with other exquisite gifts. Moreover, by taking a ride on the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Lingbo Guantian Route" and receiving a ride-proof voucher for it, you can exchange it for a gift at the shop on the second floor of the Guantian Visitor Center. Prizes are plentiful, and everyone has a chance to win (one redemption per person per day). Join us on a ride with the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle-Lingbo Guantian Route to explore Guantian and enjoy water chestnut harvesting in October. It's a time for joy and togetherness!
