In response to the implementation of the Organization Act of the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications on September 15, 2023, Northguan National Scenic Area Headquarters held an unveiling ceremony on September 23. All public authorities in the jurisdiction and Crown Coast operators attended the ceremony and sent their best wishes. At the ceremony, the film "Crown of Adventure" produced by the Headquarters was played, having won the gold medal in the tourism area category at the Golden Gate Award of the Berlin International Travel Fair in Germany and the gold medal in the tourism film category at the American Muse Creative Awards. An Auspicious Lion Dance performed by the Lei Sheng Art Group created a lively and grand atmosphere.
The North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area is famous for geological topography and coastal landscapes infused with Taiwanese features and charm. This has long been a famous tourist destination locally, especially the Queen's Head Rock in Yehliu, which is a well-known tourist attraction both domestically and internationally. The Northguan National Scenic Area Headquarters has impressive tourism resources and a superior geographical location. It is perfectly suitable for development and promotion as an international tourist area with cultural, natural, intellectual and ecological tourist attractions.
The Northguan National Scenic Area Headquarters adheres to the four principles of "facility reduction," "environmental priority," "tourist convenience" and "international standards." It also takes sustainable tourism as its main axis, improves the quality of tourism and recreation and combines that with the "Crown Coast" to strengthen international tourism promotions, open up potential tourist markets, boost economic development, and sustainably operate the Northguan National Scenic Area. As part of its "dedication to boosting local tourism, glorifying Taiwan tourism" and mission of "communication, cooperation, innovation and leadership" to demonstrate the "Crown Coast, the Crown of Tourism," in the future the Headquarters will "Develop the Northguan National Scenic Area with Dedication, Honoring the Crown Coast".
