The Miaoli County Government held the 2024 Twin Cities Marathon press conference at County Hall on May 7th. This year, the two major marathon events in Miaoli County for "i Taiwan" sport activity announced that registration would begin immediately. The registration deadline for the Night Marathon is July 21st, while the registration deadline for the Landscape Marathon and Leisure Riding in the Slow City is August 25th. County Mayor CHUNG, TUNG-CHIN invited friends from all over the country who love cycling and running to experience the beautiful scenery of this mountain city with their legs.

The "Night Marathon" and the "Slow City Nanzhuang Landscape Leisure Tour" are dual marathon events with two major mountain cities in Miaoli County as the central axis. The county will hold the "Night Marathon" on September 28 and divide it into four groups: the entire marathon group, half-marathon group, running group, and parent-child group. It starts from Miaoli Arena and follows the camphor tree green corridor, romantic and beautiful riverside park, and Hakka Round House along Jingguo Road in Miaoli City. That allows the evening breeze and night view to accompany the runners. This year, just like last year, farmers' associations from 18 towns in the county will set up stalls at the venue, a tiny agricultural expo. Not only can runners participate in this event, but the public is also welcome to visit.

The Miaoli County Government will integrate the resources of various bureaus, township offices, and farmers' associations and cooperate with the county's tourism and accommodation industries this year. With the bib number, the participants can visit significant attractions in Miaoli for free, and the county government will expand the two marathon events to become a representative marathon event in Miaoli County. The county government hopes to attract more athletes who love sports to participate in the marathon in Miaoli, take an in-depth tour of Miaoli mountain city, and experience the Hakka customs of Miaoli.
