The Hushanyan yellow daylilies in Huatan finally bloomed this morning! And the first flower to bloom is a sister flower with two blossoms on one stem! “Taitung No. 7”, a variety of the Hushanyan yellow daylily, bloomed on April 7. It is the first time in 7 years that, after this variety of yellow daylily was planted, a yellow daylily bloomed with two blossoms on the first day. The landowner, Huang, believes that, as “three and seven align” and good things come in pairs, the prosperity of the daylilies is eagerly awaited.
Upon learning that the yellow daylilies had bloomed, Director of the Headquarters, Tsao Chung-yu, immediately headed to the yellow daylily farm with Legislator Li Ching-ji, Chairman of Hushanyan Lin Tian-lun, and Huang Jin-ji, one of the early known owners, in the early morning to jointly install a nameplate for the first flower. All attendees of this event were so excited because it is the first time that a sister flower has bloomed, signaling a positive omen for the upcoming yellow daylily festival. Director Tsao Chung-yu mentioned that the Headquarters organized the “first blooming flower prediction” activity on the Fanpage, where participants could leave their guesses until the flowers bloomed. Currently, nearly a thousand people have participated in the guessing game, with only a few of them correctly guessing that the first flower would bloom on April 7. This has significantly boosted the chances of winning, and the Headquarters will draw lucky winners who have guessed correctly. The winners will receive an OhBear neck pillow, a set of yellow daylily essential oil handmade soap, and other wonderful gifts.
Director Tsao Chung-yu remarked that, with the keen interest from various sectors, the first yellow daylily has finally bloomed atop the hill of Hushanyan Recreation Area, coincidentally as a sister flower.
