The Tourism Administration, MOTC, held the "2026–2027 Taiwan Hot Springs: Four-Season Springs Travel Launch Ceremony" in Guguan, bringing together hot springs, mountain forests, hiking, cuisine, accommodations, and the nighttime economy.
Taiwan's hot spring resources are rich and diverse and are closely tied to mountain forests, Indigenous tribal cultures, and local life. They draw travelers deeper into local communities, extend their stays and spending, and promote regional prosperity and local economic development.
With the central government, local governments, and industry joining hands across sectors, Taiwan's hot spring tourism resources are being brought together. Starting from Guguan and connecting 19 major hot spring areas, the initiative opens a new chapter in travel, where visitors can soak in hot springs, explore mountain forests, and enjoy rejuvenating experiences year-round in Taiwan.
The greatest appeal of Taiwan's hot springs lies in how different types of hot springs and landscapes are closely integrated with local culture, cuisine, accommodations, and distinctive travel experiences. This turns hot springs from a seasonal activity into a year-round travel experience, making hot spring bathing part of everyday travel and a way to relax and rejuvenate both body and mind.
