With its sustainability action project, "Slow Nanzhuang: The Sustainable Beauty of a Mountain Town," which integrates Hakka, Atayal, and Saisiyat cultures, the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters won the Bronze Award at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards (APSAA) and the Gold Award at the Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA).
Nanzhuang boasts exceptionally rich cultural and natural landscapes. Through in-depth support and guidance, the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters has restored and transformed the historic building "Nanzhuang Dongcun Dormitory," which had been abandoned for many years, into a Japanese-style cultural and creative guesthouse, preserving the local historical memory.
The Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters stated that it will continue to promote sustainability initiatives through public-private collaboration, so that every traveler who comes to Nanzhuang can experience the slow-living aesthetic of "harmonious coexistence between people and the land."
