To enhance travel services, the Tourism Administration, MOTC has launched the Central Taiwan Tourism Union E-tour Guide— a smart travel platform that integrates tourism resources across nine counties and cities in Central Taiwan and three National Scenic Areas, organized into five main sections. No app download is needed; simply open your mobile browser to access attraction recommendations, nearby facility searches, and AI-guided tours.
Powered by location-based positioning, the system recommends attractions, restaurants, and accommodations based on where visitors are, with distance-based sorting and map search. The "Nearby Facilities" feature provides real-time searches for practical essentials such as restrooms, convenience stores, bus stops, and medical institutions — making travel easier and more convenient.
The "Zone Guide" section also offers specially planned travel tips for independent travelers, guiding visitors toward deeper experiences of local culture and natural scenery.
By integrating digital technology with Central Taiwan's mountains, coasts, cities, and tourism resources, the service delivers travel support that is more convenient and more real-time.
