During the Lunar New Year holiday, travelers are encouraged to make use of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle network, which links Taiwan High Speed Rail and Taiwan Railway services. This low-carbon travel option not only helps avoid traffic congestion, but also offers the opportunity to explore the mountains and enjoy a slower-paced getaway.

Throughout the holiday, visitors who complete designated tasks at any of the six visitor centers can claim a limited-edition lucky coin. A variety of DIY experiences are also available, inviting everyone to join in.

Each of the four routes offers a unique experience. The Lion's Head Mountain Route links THSR Hsinchu Station and TRA Zhubei Station, connecting you directly to the Lion's Head Mountain Scenic Area. The Nanzhuang Route, starting from Zhunan Station, invites you to stroll around Xiangtian Lake, hike nature trails in Penglai River Ecology Park, and savor local flavors along the old street for an in-depth travel experience.

The Mt. Bagua Route – From Changhua starts from Nantou City, linking THSR Changhua Station and Shoutian Temple. Get off at Songboling Station and head to Songboling Visitor Center, where free guided tours are available by reservation — an easy way to explore Taiwan's tea culture. The Tianzhong Zhushan Route departs from THSR Changhua Station, passing through Tianzhong and Ershui before arriving at Zhushan Tzunan Temple, with pastoral scenery along the way.

People are encouraged to make the most of public transportation and enjoy a relaxed, unhurried Lunar New Year holiday.
