Since 2020, the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has integrated various tourism industry resources into the "Tourism Union" to create an internationally attractive tourism area brand and promote the Tourism Union 1.0 project. After optimizing 2.0, 3.0 now integrates 18 areas of the Tourism Union across Taiwan, including North, Central, South, East, Penghu, Mazu, and Kinmen, among seven major "regional tourism brands."

Today, over 80 tourism industry representatives from Taichung-Changhua, Hsinchu-Miaoli, SunMoonLake, Chiayi Alishan, Kinmen, and other places gathered together. Each area of the Tourism Union has its local characteristics. The headquarters hopes everyone can exchange opinions on the Central Tourism Area's establishment and future development direction. Meanwhile, through the exchange and discussion of issues, they can further enhance the development of the tourism area.

In 2025, the Tourism Union will officially enter the 3.0 era, and this year is a crucial period of transformation for all areas of the Tourism Union. In the past two years, the tourism industry has created innovative products and unique activities by marketing local food, accommodation, tourism, shopping, and more. This year, they will expand our marketing efforts by combining international enterprises, well-known chain brands, and even the overseas missions of the Tourism Administration to strengthen local brand awareness to attract more international and domestic tourists from different markets to experience the unique tourism experience and atmosphere of the tourism area.
