The Kuhua Pond is located near the P’anoh Tribe in Nanzhuang, Miaoli. It is a secluded waterfall in the valley. The trail facility improvement project conducted by the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the Headquarters) was completed in January 2024, and the finished facilities were handed over to the Nanzhuang Township Office for maintenance and management. The facilities of the Kuhua Pond Trail provide tourists with a safer and more user-friendly leisure space and informational facility, further enhancing the overall recreational and safety quality.

The Director of the Headquarters, Tsao Chung-yu, pointed out that the Kuahua Pond is only 1 km away from the P'anoh tribe and the pond water is sourced by the Fengmei River. He emphasized that this stunning waterfall hidden in the valley is a natural hideaway that can heal people’s bodies and minds. The clear pond water has made it one of the hot spots for water play in a natural river during summer in recent years, attracting many visitors who engage in river tracing and water jumping activities. To maintain and enhance visitors’ travel safety and quality, the Headquarters has established new stone-paved trails and steel-frame bridges based on the terrain of the site, added safety ropes on the slopes below the trail, and placed leisure platforms and informational facilities in appropriate locations. When traveling here with your family, you can also visit renowned scenic spots in Nanzhuang since it is a great option for family travel during the Lunar New Year holidays. So, let's visit Fairy Valley and Nanzhuang Old Street on the way to enjoy a rejuvenating Lunar New Year holiday for both body and mind!

The Headquarters has expressed that, in light of the increasing prominence of sustainable tourism worldwide, it believes that traveling consists of not only tourism but also participation in local activities, the upkeep of local environments, and an understanding of the culture of the places visited. To further its sustainable tourism development efforts, the Headquarters invested NT$7.37 million in a facility improvement project for the Kuahua Pond Trail near the P'anoh Tribe in 2023, drawing upon proposals from the tribe. The project was completed at the end of last year and handed over to the Miaoli County Nanzhuang Township Office in January 2024 for matters related to planting, facility management, and the maintenance of soil and water conservation.
