The Christmas trees of the "2023 Valley Light Festival" have been lit up! Renowned as the tallest Christmas trees in Taiwan, the 28-meter-high Christmas cedar trees standing in front of the Lishan Guest House was instantly illuminated, casting splendid lights that enveloped the surroundings in a magnificent glow. Amidst a festive Christmas atmosphere that permeated the entire valley, visitors and people from the Greater Lishan gathered together to warmly welcome the arrival of the Valley Light Festival.

The "Valley Light Festival" celebrates its third consecutive year, casting its radiant glow over the picturesque landscapes of Lishan and Guguan from November 30 to January 7, 2024. Embracing the holiday spirit of both Christmas and New Year, this Festival is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and jubilant ambiance, marking the transition from the year's end to the dawn of a new beginning. The two historically significant cedar trees in front of Lishan Guest House have been transformed into "the tallest Christmas trees in Taiwan" as the highlight of this event. It is hoped that this event will not only provide everyone with a renewed understanding of the evolution of tourism in Greater Lishan but also foster the revitalization of the tourism industry among local indigenous tribes.

Director Tsou indicated that this year's Valley Light Festival is centered around the theme of "the radiant Lishan". The use of the term "radiant" serves two purposes: Firstly, it denotes the allure of the lights embellishing Guguan and Lishan, encouraging everyone to visit and delight in the exquisite lights while savoring the beauty of Guguan and Lishan at a leisurely pace by staying overnight. Secondly, it expresses the expectation that the tourism brand of Greater Lishan will gain international recognition, enticing both domestic and foreign travelers to indulge in local fruits and vegetables, breathe in the mountainous air, wander along forest trails, and feel the local hospitality and warmth.
