The geology, hydrology, and climate have sculpted the distinctive industries and character of the Baiguoshan Trail Complex. Renowned as the birthplace of candied fruit and a repository of memories for people from the 1960s and 1970s, it holds a special place in the hearts of many during their youthful years. The Phase I project has renovated the surrounding environment, facilities, and visitor parking areas to enhance the recreational functionality of Baiguoshan (Baiguo Mountain), giving it a refreshed look. The Phase II project has erected Taiwan's first 2.5-meter-tall "Oh Bear", recognized as the tourism ambassador, within the playground. This will serve as a significant landmark for visitors to take check-in photos.

The slide area is painted with vibrant and diverse colors and equipped with a climbing net, trampoline, jumping pillars, rock climbing equipment, and a play mound. These diverse recreational facilities cater to parents and children of all ages, offering a rich and varied playing experience. Director of the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Administration), Tsou Chung-yu, expressed that the Baiguoshan facility optimization project is expected to be completed in the middle of January 2024. Upon completion, the newly established or renovated facilities will be handed over to the City Office for ongoing maintenance and management. These new facilities, along with the "Baiguo Mountain" (a local recreational park), local and scenic restaurants, and stores selling local specialties, will collectively form a recreational belt, aiming to revitalize the candied fruit industry in Baiguoshan and enhance overall business prospects within the Baguashan Scenic Area.

The Phase II project was initiated in 2020, and today, the new look of the Baiguoshan Trail Complex has finally been unveiled. We cordially invite everyone to visit Yuanlin and rediscover the charm of Baiguoshan. Following the completion of all facility safety checks, the Baiguoshan Trail Complex is expected to open to the public in mid-January not only to revive its former glory but also to establish it as a high-quality recreational area in Central Taiwan.
