Further away, you can see several tall mountains including Jiayang Mountain, Taoshan, Dajian Mountain, Xiaojian Mountain, Xueshan (Mount Sylvia), Zhijiayang Mountain, Duojiatun Mountain, and SSuyuan Yakou all standing in a row. It is spectacular.
Lishan Hotel is the highest palace-style hotel in Taiwan. Located in the center of Lishan area, it is a local landmark and one of the must-see attractions to learn about Taiwan. The bright red palace-style building has many special architectural secrets under its elegant appearance waiting for you to discover. Standing in the square in front of Lishan Hotel are two giant cedar trees. They are often a major impression of Lishan's skyline many visitors have.
Every December during the Guguan Light Art Festival, the two cedar trees are decorated and turned into Christmas trees. This is a must-see in Lishan in winter.
Sakuraen Hill, or "Mqoyat Sunrise Happiness: Cherry Blossom Hill," was originally the parking lot of Zhongzheng Road. It was rebuilt in 2016. In addition to adding parking spaces, a viewing platform was also built.
Looking around from here, your field of vision is vast. Visitors can overlook the beautiful Xueshan (Mount Sylvia) and Dajia River here.
Cherry trees are planted around Sakuraen Hill. In early spring every year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom with the pink petals flying in the air. It is an important cherry blossom viewing spot in downtown Lishan.
