Emei Township of Hsinchu County has a picturesque natural environment and was elected as one of the Classic Small Towns 3.0 in 2021. To create tourism and leisure spots for Taiwan Romantic Route 3, the Tri-Mountain
National Scenic Area Administration Office (hereinafter referred to as the Office) has, with a focus on the development of Emei Lake, connected trails around the lake in order to build a circular lake trail that provides a great leisure experience for visitors of all ages.
Director of the Office Tsao Chung-yu stated that the Office had been allocating budgets for the construction of the circular lake trail each year since 2017. The length of completed trail is expected to reach 1,581 m and the Office is expected to complete the “true, good and beautiful” circular lake trail in 2026. Upon completion of the project, the trail will connect various scenic spots,including Ximaopu Suspension Bridge, Fuxing Old Tea Factory and Nature Loving Wonderland, from points to lines and to a surface, providing visitor with a more diverse experience of the natural beauty of Emei Lake and enhancing local tourism capacity.
