The Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration Office, Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (hereinafter referred to as the Office) has demonstrated creativity in promoting Taiwan’s tourism and tea industry. Today, Director of the Office Tsao Chung-yu accompanied the mothers of the two hosts from the Malaysian Astro AEC Chinese channel's program "Take Mom on a Trip" to experience the "Six Senses of Tea" at the Songboling Visitor Center (Tea Culture Theme Pavilion) in Mingjian Township, Nantou County.
The filming of this episode was arranged by the Kuala Lumpur Office of the Bureau. Jack Lim, the host of Malaysia's Astro AEC Chinese channel's program "Take Mom on a Trip", personally brought his own mother, who is in her 70s, to Nantou. Another host, Jason Yeoh, also known as Ah Xian, accompanied them with his mother in her 80s, aligning with the theme of "Take Mom on a Trip".
Director Tsao emphasized that the Baguashan Dafuo Scenic Area holds great significance as a tea production site. This is why the Songboling Visitor Center is positioned as the Tea Culture Theme Pavilion. Here, visitors not only have the opportunity to learn about tea processing, participate in tea tastings, and engage their senses in the experience of tea, but also to appreciate the cultural essence of the tea industry. As a result, it has gained recognition from the local community as well as visitors from across the country. Moreover, it has been honored with the French Novum Design Award (NDA) - Silver Award for Interior Design, as well as the Muse Design Awards - Silver Award for Interior Design in the United States.
The Tourism Bureau stated that since Taiwan reopened its doors to international tourists in October of last year, there has been a significant increase in visitors from Malaysia. Not only did Malaysia contribute to the first one million international visitors this year, but it also ranked as the fourth largest source of visitors to Taiwan based on residence statistics from January to March, with nearly 100,000 visitors. In light of this, the Kuala Lumpur Office has extended a special invitation to two well-known hosts to film the program "Take Mom on a Trip" in Taiwan. The program will feature their captivating journeys with their mothers and their immersive experiences in tea-related activities. The broadcast of these episodes is scheduled for June. The Office warmly welcomes our friends from Malaysia to watch the program and encourages them to embark on a journey to explore Taiwan's rich tea culture without delay.
