Along the coast areas of Zhuangwei, fishermen catch eel seedlings in winter and perform seine fishing (also known as Khan-Koo) in summer. The seine fishing method involves fishermen taking a simple sampan out to sea and dropping their nets, with fishermen on the shore pulling the nets ashore and sharing the catch. The design of this project utilizes the shape of the "net," the motion of the "wave" and the image of a “sampan platform," to maintain and utilize the dune terrain of the site. It also integrates local characteristics and memories into the observation deck, and creates three undulating pallets for parents and children to play, stop and enjoy the scenery. At the same time, the place name "Dafu" is used as the main design axis, combined with fixed swing seats, allowing visitors to interact with the beautiful scenery of Guishan Island and the coast through a three-dimensional framed view, adding a new highlight to the northeast coastline. This deck creates a new node for the Yilan Coastal Bikeway, embellishes the local attractions of Yilan Coastal Recreation Area and creates a brand new regional feature.
