Welcoming 17 couples to Alishan
The 18th Wedding under the Divine Tree continued its two key features: "Xianglin Divine Tree Wedding Ceremony" and "Tsou Tribal Wedding Experience." This year, a Tsou Costume Experience Day was added to the program. Newlyweds visited Tsou Veoveoana Cultural and Creative Park and Yuyupas Tsou Cultural Tribe in traditional Tsou costumes and immersed themselves in tribal culture and unique wedding rituals. The experience allowed them to appreciate the deep bond and mutual support inherent in marriage. In the evening, they stayed at Taiwan's highest international hotel, Indigo Hotel Alishan, to rest and recharge for the wedding ceremony the following day.
On the Alishan Xianglin Divine Tree Platform, under the witness and blessings of the ancient trees, the newlyweds exchanged vows and began a new chapter in their lives. After the distinctive wedding ceremony, the Alishan National Scenic Area Headquarters invited hundreds of family members to a celebratory luncheon at the Alishan Hotel, marking a memorable and romantic conclusion to the wedding festivities.
Fang Zhengguang, Chief Secretary of the Tourism Administration, MOTC, stated that Alishan's Wedding under the Divine Tree is one of the international-level Taiwan Tourism Events. Every year, under the thousand-year-old divine tree and Ta Mountain, newlyweds receive special blessings from Alishan. Additionally, a special coffee variety, So'ngna, is cultivated to symbolize the sweet and sour journey of married life. Fang expressed hope that the newlyweds would return to Alishan with their families in the future.
Hong Weixin, Director of the Alishan National Scenic Area Headquarters, commented that the Wedding under the Divine Tree has been held for 18 years and will continue to thrive with continuous innovation. He emphasized that this unique wedding event creates unforgettable romantic memories for the couples while boosting the local tourism industry. He expressed his vision of making Alishan a lasting symbol of happiness and love.
