The Alishan National Scenic Area Headquarters, Tourism Administration Bureau, MOTC, organized the “Wedding Under the Sacred Tree in Alishan” on the Xiangling Sacred Tree Platform in Alishan Forest Recreation Area on October 22, 2023. Combining the elements of Alishan's sacred tree and the indigenous Tsou culture, the Headquarters has created a unique, forest-themed wedding full of a sense of ritual. The romantic itinerary offered by this wedding includes a tea feast provided by Lin Yuan Tea Factory, creative tea cuisine, a wedding photo shoot at Fengqihu Old Street, an indigenous evening dinner at YUYUPAS Cultural Park, and accommodation at Hotel Indigo. Sixteen couples from both the country and overseas have, hand-in-hand, witnessed a romantic moment and promised a lifetime of love under Alishan's sacred tree, surrounded by their relatives and friends.

This marks the 17th year of hosting the “Wedding Under the Sacred Tree in Alishan”, with over a hundred newlyweds enthusiastically registering, including four overseas couples. Among them, the couple from Vietnam participated in this event out of their love for the beauty of Taiwan. The organizers also prepared the "GOOD DAY" gift box, which includes award-winning Alishan high-mountain tea and coffee, Wasabi-flavored rice crackers, Aiyu jelly, and honey. These items symbolize the sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy moments that the newlyweds will experience together in their marriage.

The “Wedding Under the Sacred Tree in Alishan” has inherited two characteristic rituals: the "Xiangling Sacred Tree Wedding Witness Ceremony" and the "Tsou Wedding Ceremonial Experience". As an innovative wedding concept, the groom and the bride, with the bride wearing a classic qipao, participate in a lively, elegant, and traditional Chinese wedding ceremony on the sacred tree platform, where they pledge vows of true love under the witness and blessings of the sacred tree. They then visited the YUYUPAS Cultural Park to don traditional indigenous wedding attire, partake in Tsou wedding customs, and, through meaningful rituals, experience the connection characterized by shared joys and sorrows, as well as a close and interdependent relationship between spouses.
